I bought No Ads. How do I get it on a new phone? Install Dead Man's Frontier, open the General Store in town, go to the Gems tab and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy it. No Ads is a one-time purchase, so you never pay for it twice. If it still does not unlock, email us. Please do not buy again.
Can I restore gems I bought? Gem packs are used up in the game, so Apple does not restore them. Gems you bought are part of your saved progress on the phone where you bought them.
My gems did not arrive after a purchase. Gems are added as soon as Apple confirms the purchase. If they are missing, email us with the date of the purchase and a screenshot of your Apple receipt, and we will look into it.
What are the chest odds? Each chest in the General Store gives one random piece of gear. Every gear piece is equally likely; the rarity odds are:
Legendary gear is not found in chests; it is made by merging gear.
How do I get a refund? Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do ads work? The game is free and supported by ads. Some ads play on their own: after a ride when you are back in town, after every second building or gear upgrade, and sometimes when you come back to the game after being away. Others are reward ads that you choose to watch for a bonus, such as a free chest, a level-up reroll, a revive or double gold.
What does No Ads remove? No Ads removes every ad that plays on its own, for good. Reward ads stay available and are always optional, so you can still watch one when you want the bonus.
Why does the game ask to track me? After your first ride, iOS asks whether Dead Man's Frontier may track you. Allowing it lets our ad partner, Google AdMob, show more relevant ads. Declining is fine; you will see the same number of ads, just less personalized ones. You can change your answer any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Tracking. Where is my progress saved? On your iPhone. There is no account and no cloud save, so deleting the app resets your progress, including your town, gear, gold and gems, and we cannot recover it. Only No Ads can be restored, as described above.
Can I play without internet? Yes. Rides, the town and upgrades all work offline. The store and ads need a connection.
